The Harlem Film House, Harlem’s only 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting the careers of marginalized filmmakers around the world, announced today the appointment of Snypes Murdock, the powerhouse producer and director, to its board of advisors.

Snypes Murdock is a seasoned producer and director, with over ten years of experience in content development. He imprinted himself on the industry directing and producing for companies like Atlantic Records, Sony Music, HBO Turner Broadcasting (Court TV & Tru TV). Additionally, he was recently a supervising director for BET Digital and launched, created, and continued several new series that garnered millions of views worldwide. He is now in development on a live action science fiction show that goes in production in the fall. Snypes has pursued his love of filmmaking on the side, receiving critical acclaim for the Screen Actor’s Guild film short Clubophobia, as well as directing a number of music videos. His development slate includes a short animated series entitled Trap High, Area 51, a music competition series (untitled), and various visual podcasts.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Snypes to the advisory board to help us understand how to better help our filmmakers position themselves for success, especially as we extend into the international market. His track record and instinct is exactly what we need as we continue to grow our vision and strategy,” says CR Capers, founder of the Harlem Film House.

Snypes joins the already impressive board at the Harlem Film House which includes Oscar winner Bruce Cohen and actor/producer/entrepreneur Theo Rossi.
